Welcome to the playful and inquisitive world of HQ. We're a frontier tech ecosystem with 4K+ members across 55+ countries, led by engineering students at Yale & top schools around the world.
We believe young people can do hard things and that undergraduates, dropouts, recent grads, and even PhDs and post-docs are often overlooked by investors, corporate strategics, and industry partners when commercializing IP in deep tech industries. We're an advocate for students and first-time founders (average age 18-28), investing our time, resources, connections, and capital to see you succeed.
We support 500+ early-stage deep tech startups across hardware & devices, dual use, biotech & health, advanced computing & AI, climate & infrastructure, and more. Scroll to see all the 20+ verticals we support.
Our members are engineers, scientists, and technically curious, 2-6 months out from forming a legal entity around their IP/idea. We work closely with leading law firms, banks, VCs, universities, corporations, and ecosystems to make it as seamless as possible to commercialize in "hard tech" industries.
We're looking for engineering and deep science (or adjacent) students (all levels, including recent grads) to expand our leadership team to offer more services, events, technical perspectives, startup support, investment opportunities -> and increase our net capacity to perform deep tech mischief.
Deep tech is cool, so we want cool people to change the face of it.
