Sustainability standards for animation

As leading organisations in the field of green production, CineRegio, Ecoprod and Green Film have joined forces to initiate a collective effort to define shared, international sustainability standards for the animation sector, and reach a certification scheme.

The criteria you will be reading through have been developed by an International working group composed of animation producers, sustainability and certification experts, Ecoprod and Green Film representatives.

The public consultation is open from 3 March to 3 May 2026 to all stakeholders of the animation sector, in particular Institutions, Film Funds, Producers, Industry Associations, Sustainability and Green Managers, Certifying Bodies and anyone who wants to give their contribution to the definition of a shared, objective and transparent standard.
