Film Fundamentals: Group Photography Workshop in Amsterdam

New to film photography, or looking to rediscover it with a like-minded group?

This small-group workshop and photowalk covers everything you need to get started with analog photography. Enjoy learning in good company at a pace that works for everyone.

Here's The Plan

We'll meet at a cafe to kick things off with an introduction to the analog process covering natural light, composition, manual camera settings, how to load 35mm film. This a relaxed, hands-on session where questions are encouraged.

Then it's time to get creative. Our guided photowalk through Amsterdam's Jordaan neighborhood gives you the chance to put what you've learned into practice straight away. A fun way to explore the city and learn alongside others.

You'll leave with a new creative confidence and a workbook with prompts and film tips to keep the momentum going on your own.

Meet Your Instructor

Lily is a travel writer and photographer with over 20 years of experience shooting film. Her work has been published in Lonely Planet, Fodor's Guidebooks, iAmsterdam, Tripadvisor, and more. She also teaches workshops at Doka107, an analog photography collective and darkroom studio in Amsterdam.

Passionate about helping others fall in love with the art of film photography, Lily shares creative inspiration, analog adventures, and tips for visual storytelling on her blog and YouTube channel.
