Sackett Ranch Stewardship Workday (Wednesday, May 27th 9:00AM-12:00PM)

Join us on Wednesday, May 27th from 9AM-12PM at Sackett Ranch! This is a collaborative project between Putah Creek Council and the Solano County Water Agency. Please wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle. All necessary equipment, water, and snacks will be provided. No previous experience is necessary!

Tasks may include:

Propagation, transplanting, and/or weeding work in the on-site native plant nursery

Maintenance of native hedgerows (spreading wood chips, planting, etc.)

Caring for the Putah Creek Watershed Native Plant Demonstration Garden

Other habitat restoration tasks as needed

Per Solano County Water Agency policy, volunteer events taking place at Sackett Ranch are limited to 12 people, all of whom must be over the age of 16. Those ages 16-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meeting location: 3373 Sackett Lane, Winters, CA 95694. Sackett Lane is a 1.6 mile long gravel road. Speed limit is 15 mph in order to keep dust to a minimum and help us stay friends with our neighbors. Ignore all the signs that say Private Property and continue to the very end of the road. Drive through the orange gate and park in between the white greenhouse and the shade house (the structure with black cloth on top).
For any questions about this event please contact Maddie Galal (maddie@putahcreekcouncil.org).
