Q1 - You have a brilliant new project idea. What does the first week look like?

They don't die. I drag them across the finish line with my bare hands through sheer willpower, but the operational drag kills my sanity.

Right before launch. I keep finding things to refine, polish, or double-check.

Right at the beginning. I get pulled into daily fires, client work, or operations and never find the "space" to start.

Around 60–80% mark, once the novelty's gone and it's just boring implementation.

Q2 - Where do your projects usually go to die?

Shuts Down. Fatigued and numb. Even small tasks feel like climbing a mountain.

Tightens. Tense, anxious, heavy pressure to get everything exactly right.

Impatient and buzzed. The mind jumps between 5 different tasks at once.

Locks into hyper-focus. As if it says: "If I don't handle these details manually right now, something will fall apart."

How does your physical body and nervous system feel when you look at your to-do list?

I love setting them up! I have tried Notion, Asana, and ClickUp, but I stop updating them after two weeks.

I use them obsessively to plan every micro-detail, but the plan rarely becomes actual real-world shipped work.

They stress me out. I usually stick to messy paper notebooks or desktop sticky notes because logging in costs energy I don't have.

I try using them to track things, but sometimes I abandon them and revert to manual execution because "it’s just safer and faster if I do it myself”. I tried delegating or automating, but I end up back in control because letting go burned me before.

What is your relationship with systems and project management tools?

Feeling trapped. Grinding hours, but never executing the scalable thing, so I trade time for money forever

The money and momentum left on the table. I know these ideas are profitable, , but I'm leaving massive amounts of money and impact on the table because I get distracted.

The exhaustion of second-guessing. I watch simpler versions, less competent people launch and win while I tweak.

The exhaustion of carrying it all. I shipped the work and hit goals, but I'm trapped because a lot depends on my hands, and I can't trust it to run without me.

Q5: When you look back at your trail of unfinished projects over the last 12 months, what is the most frustrating consequence?

Into optimizing every variable on this one.

Into decision fatigue: I default to urgent client firefighting instead.

Into get it done: if needed, I will manually copy-paste, answer 2,000 comments, or fix the work myself rather than slow down to build an automated system.

Q6 - A complex milestone is in front of you. Where does your focus go?

Critiquing everything that could've been better.

“Drowning in success”: the win brought an avalanche of scale / went viral;, and now I'm entirely consumed by managing the manual follow-up.

Q7 - A big launch or win just happened. What's your energy 48 hours later?

I sprint, ship something, and half-abandon the parts that bored me. Saved by Adrenaline.

I negotiate for more time or quietly let it slip, because "not ready" feels safer than "judged."

I freeze, go quiet, and the deadline passes while I deal with everything except the thing.

I lock myself in a room, pull an all-nighter, and make it happen. Because dropping quality or missing a deadline is an absolute impossibility for me.
