Start creating a big picture overview of the patient. Ask yourself
WHY
have these orders been given for John?
Step 1: Match the
function
of the following scheduled/PRN medications to John's medical history and chart data (ex. Aspirin - reduces clots to prevent future heart attacks, reduces pt's 9/10 pain etc.)
