Engineer Voices

At Japan Dev, we help people find tech jobs in Japan.

But beyond that, our goal has always been to bring transparency to the Japanese tech industry.

While we provide job listings and introduce company profiles, we know that the most valuable perspective comes from people with firsthand experience working at a Japanese tech company.

That is why we’re opening our platform to you! If you're a foreign engineer, designer, PM, or working at any tech-adjacent role in Japan, we'd love to hear about your real, unfiltered experiences.

Japan Dev receives over 600,000 monthly page views and our top articles hit over 100,000 views per year, offering a massive platform to share your insights with developers worldwide.

Are you a good fit?

We want articles rooted in your lived experience. Whether it is a lesson you learned the hard way or a unique success story, if it helped you grow as an engineer in Japan, it will help someone else!

We value authenticity over perfection, so we ask that you please refrain from using any AI tools. Our team will help you refine and polish the final piece.

Here are a few broad themes we’d love to explore (examples included):

Career Transitions: Overcoming the language barrier, relocating from overseas, or switching from a traditional Japanese company to a modern startup.
