Electrical Engineer

About the job

Rockslice is building the missing standard method for controlled interventions in rock and concrete. Today the construction industry still improvises when material must be removed in confined or sensitive environments. We are building the method that should have existed all along.

We are expanding our team with a versatile Electrical Engineer to help drive development at our waterfront lab in Bergen. This is a hands-on role where you will architect and build the electronics that power our robotic platform. You will own the electrical stack from concept to production, working with both low-voltage control systems and high-power components.

Responsibilities

- Design and own electrical subsystems (power systems, motor control, sensing, communication, mixed-signal electronics)

- Drive the full PCB lifecycle: schematic, layout, review, bring-up, validation and production

- Work closely with mechanical, firmware and autonomy teams to integrate systems into rugged robotic platforms

- Debug and validate boards using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, etc.)

Qualifications

- Degree in electrical engineering or similar

- Hands-on experience in power electronics, analog/digital design or motor control

- Experience with PCB tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, Allspice or similar)

- Board bring-up, debugging and validation in a lab environment

Nice to have

- Robotics or construction industry experience

- Embedded firmware experience (C/C++ or RTOS)

- Track record of shipping hardware for demanding real-world environments

If the idea of building a new method for one of the world’s most conservative industries excites you, we would like to hear from you. We care less about checking every box and more about working with people who build, solve problems, and take ownership of real technology.
