우리가 소비하는 자원은 어디에서 오고, 그 과정에서 누구의 땅과 삶이 달라질까요?
두니아는 인도네시아의 선주민 권리 옹호 단체 PUSAKA, 독립미디어 Watchdoc과 함께 파푸아의 자원 개발 현장과 이를 기록하는 저널리즘을 이야기합니다.
발표와 다큐멘터리 상영, 라운드테이블을 통해 자원 수탈과 소비의 연결을 살펴보고, 국경을 넘는 연대의 가능성을 함께 모색합니다.
Where do the resources we consume come from, and whose land and lives are changed along the way?
DUNIA brings together PUSAKA, an Indigenous rights organization in Indonesia, and the independent media organization Watchdoc to discuss resource development in Papua and the journalism documenting it.
Through presentations, a documentary screening, and a roundtable, we will explore the connections between resource extraction and consumption, and the possibilities for solidarity across borders.

파푸아의 숲과 선주민의 삶은 자원 개발로 어떻게 달라지고 있을까요? PUSAKA의 현장 활동을 통해 토지 수탈과 산림 파괴의 실태, 한국 기업과의 연결, 땅과 삶을 지키기 위한 저항을 살펴봅니다.

Muhamad Sridipo (Watchdoc)
자원 개발 뒤에 얽힌 자본과 권력을 다큐멘터리는 어떻게 드러낼까요? Watchdoc의 제작 경험과 공동체 상영 활동을 통해, 기록이 시민들의 토론과 행동으로 이어지는 과정을 이야기합니다.
17:30–19:00 다큐멘터리 상영 <Pesta Babi> (돼지들의 잔치)
앞선 발표에서 나눈 파푸아의 토지와 자원 개발 문제를 다큐멘터리를 통해 이어서 살펴봅니다.
10:00–12:00 라운드테이블 [Connecting Dots] 아시아 자원 갈등 대응 프로토콜

현장 활동과 다큐멘터리, 저널리즘과 연구를 연결하는 대화입니다. 아시아의 자원 수탈과 환경 파괴에 대응하기 위해 국경을 넘어 무엇을 공유하고, 어떻게 함께 행동할 수 있을지 논의합니다.

14:00–15:30 Session 01 [Grounding] Land Rights and Self-Determination on the Ground

How is resource development changing Papua’s forests and the lives of Indigenous communities? Drawing on PUSAKA’s work, this session examines land grabbing, deforestation, connections to South Korean companies, and communities’ struggles to defend their land and livelihoods.
15:40–17:00 Session 02 [Witnessing] Investigative Journalism and Alternative Media
by Muhamad Sridipo (Watchdoc)
How can documentary filmmaking expose the business and political interests behind resource development? Through Watchdoc’s filmmaking and community screenings, this session explores how documenting these issues can lead to public discussion and collective action.
17:30–19:00 Documentary Screening <Pesta Babi> (Feast of Pigs)
The screening continues our exploration of land and resource development in Papua, bringing the issues discussed in the preceding sessions to the screen.
DAY 2 — Sunday, October 25
10:00–12:00 Roundtable [Connecting Dots] A Protocol for Responding to Resource Conflict in Asia
with Franky Samperante · Muhamad Sridipo · Seulki Lee · Jungwoo Lee
A conversation connecting grassroots advocacy, documentary filmmaking, journalism, and research. Together, we will discuss what we can share across borders and how we can work together to respond to resource exploitation and environmental destruction in Asia.
