Submit to CURSOR 08: Enclosures

Every digital interaction has a location—whether tracked, inferred, or erased. Once promised as a space beyond borders, the internet is now a terrain of checkpoints, paywalls, geofences, algorithmic exclusions, and enclosures. CURSOR 08: Enclosures seeks to examine who draws the lines, who crosses them, and who is erased by them. By tracing the shifting boundaries between physical and virtual worlds, the central question of CURSOR 08: Enclosures is: how are digital borders produced, managed, and contested in an increasingly networked world? For CURSOR 08: Enclosures, we’re calling on all researchers, artists, writers, activists, and practitioners to submit. As usual, we accept a wide range of mediums including but not limited to long-form essays, interviews, top 10 lists, and mixed-media projects. Send your hot takes, critical examinations, and playful musings on all things to do with virtual enclosures via this form. For more information regarding submissions, head to cursormag.net/submissions. Deadline: March 15, 2026.
