Matchtern helps ambitious students excel in college admissions with standout extracurricular experiences. Our Nonprofit Builder Program is a 12-week guided program where you build a fully operational nonprofit from scratch, complete with legal registration, a professional website, real programs, and guaranteed press coverage.
Every student who completes the program walks away with six verified outcomes: a legally registered nonprofit, a custom-built website, at least one published media feature you can link on your application, a launched program with documented impact, branded social media accounts, and a polished college app portfolio including your Common App activity description, supplemental essay guidance, and interview talking points.
This application helps us determine if you are a good fit for the program. If chosen to move to the next stage, you will receive a brief 15-minute interview invitation.
We are looking for students with strong academic performance, genuine passion for a social cause (or willingness to discover one), and the ability to commit at least 3-5 hours per week for 12 weeks. The minimum academic requirement to apply is a 3.6+ unweighted GPA or equivalent. No prior nonprofit or entrepreneurship experience is required.
