Quick Scan Digital Home Security

Welcome to your Quick Scan Digital Home Security
Your internet connection is like the front door to your digital life. Many people think they're safe online, but most home networks have weaknesses hackers can find in minutes.
This Quick Scan isn't just about security. It's about taking back control of your digital life.
Your Home Network
Your modem/router is the gatekeeper for every device in your home. Most routers come with weak default settings that hackers can spot in minutes. This Quick Scan checks your router's password, security settings, and update habits to find where your network needs strengthening.
Take Back Your Privacy
Privacy is a basic right, not a luxury. Many technology corporations operate business models dependent on comprehensive data collection and behavioral tracking. Big tech companies like Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Apple collectively process trillions of data points annually, creating detailed profiles that serve advertising revenue while compromising individual autonomy.
Independent alternatives exist for email, search, messaging, and password management that protect your privacy instead of selling your data. This Quick Scan helps you find where you can switch to privacy-friendly tools.
Methodology
This Quick Scan uses professional risk management principles from ISO 27001 (the enterprise security standard) alongside modern authentication guidelines from NIST (US National Institute of Standards and Technology).
While 100% security is impossible, I focus on acceptable risk levels through independent, actionable steps that put value back in your hands.
What to Expect
You will receive a personalized risk score comparing your security to privacy-friendly standards, along with a prioritized list of what to fix first.
The Quick Scan consists of 33 structured questions across network security, password hygiene, authentication, device hardening, and privacy positioning.
Accurate results depend on honest answers reflecting your actual configurations. Your honest input is the key to an effective, independent Quick Scan.
About this Quick Scan
This Quick Scan comes from my comprehensive Full Audit framework, which will be launched separately at a future date. While the Full Audit provides extensive analysis with 120+ questions and detailed remediation roadmaps, this Quick Scan extracts 33 critical questions to deliver a first indication of your security posture.
Think of this Quick Scan as your baseline assessment, a diagnostic that identifies priority risks before you proceed to the complete audit process. This Quick Scan identifies problems, the Full Audit delivers the solutions.
