Help build the UK’s centre for in silico regulatory science

UK Centre of Excellence for In Silico Regulatory Science & Innovation

Transforming knowledge of medicines and medical devices through digital evidence to deliver better outcomes and fairer access for everyone, while powering UK innovation, productivity and growth
The UK Centre of Excellence for In Silico Regulatory Science & Innovation (UK CEiRSI) is preparing its bid to the UKRI Centres of Excellence for Regulatory Science and Innovation (CERSI) call, for submission on 12 January 2027. If funded, the centre will run for up to five years from 1 April 2027. Full details of the call are on the UKRI website: Centres of Excellence for Regulatory Science and Innovation.

This form helps us understand which organisations want to partner with the centre, what each could bring, and what each needs from it. It also collects the details UKRI asks for about each named partner, so some questions appear only when they apply to you. It takes about fifteen minutes. It is a scoping exercise and commits neither side.

How would your organisation like to take part in UK CEiRSI?

Founding member of the UK CEiRSI Community of Interest. An informal group of practitioners, specialists and stakeholders who exchange knowledge, network, solve common problems and advance best practice in in silico regulatory science. Members stay in touch with UK CEiRSI and take part in its activities from time to time, but do not intend to play a major role in driving the programme forward and make no formal contribution.

Founding project partner. A Community of Interest member that also provides specific contributions to the project, in cash or in kind, such as staff time, data, facilities or software. Partners should not seek funds from UKRI. Where minor costs such as travel and subsistence are needed, UKRI usually pays them at 80% of full economic cost, subject to Subsidy Control rules and HMRC guidance; such costs must be justified in the proposal and are subject to peer review. This is UKRI's definition: UKRI roles in funding applications.

Both are open to organisations in industry, academia, the third sector and government, in the UK or overseas, including the EU.
