Scruffy City Sings vocalist submission

Thanks for being interested in making music with us this summer! Please submit for as many concerts as you're interested in joining.

How it works

Each month, we’ll choose a different genre of music! Think of it like a 54 Below concert.

First Take will meet with the singers to create a set list, comprised of solos, duets, small group numbers, and/or large group numbers.

Once the songs have been set, the Music Director will meet with the singers to set tempi, identify any variations in instrumentation, etc. (1 rehearsal)

The whole band & cast will meet to sing through their material and iron out any difficulties. (1 rehearsal)

It’s show day! We’ll get together to do sound check and then away we go!

Compensation for singers include drink tickets and a comp to a future First Take show.

What to submit

Please sing a song you feel like you own in performance. We’re particularly interested in the following genres:

1. Musical Theatre

2. Y2K/Early 00's pop

3. Classic Rock

4. Country Western/Dolly Parton

5. Jazz standards 6. Pop punk

If your favorite song fits outside of those categories, send it in anyway! We’re brainstorming many different events, both for this concert series and beyond. This can be as long of a clip as you’d like, or multiple clips of different songs if you want to showcase various aspects of your range.
