The Courtyards Institute: Policy Fellows

Policy Fellows

The Courtyards Institute is a nonprofit organization with a mission to develop grassroots initiatives, policy, and talent to advance mental health in East Asian communities. Ours is a culture of ideas, innovation, and community that tackles difficult problems globally. 

To further this mission, the Institute is seeking Policy Fellows. Fellows will work in teams of 4-5 to create bi-weekly public policy recommendations/briefs to broadcast on The Courtyard Institute’s platform and send to foreign agencies and ministries across East Asia. Fellows will have the opportunity to draw from databases and other sources to gather actionable evidence and collaborate with the policy team to create a persuasive recommendation for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Fellows will write impactful recommendations and briefs on policy questions and support broader organizational objectives. Fellows may work in various aspects of mental health policy, including but not limited to:

- Healthcare policy
- Technology & society
- Economic and workforce implications

Qualifications

- Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university. Exceptional high school upperclassmen will also be considered.
- Strong mastery of English writing and comprehension.
- Experience in collaborative, research or journalism-oriented, and high output teams and environments.
