About the role

We're looking for a key technical hire, a Founding Engineer who embodies the qualities of a true 10x full-stack developer with a focus on building LLM-powered applications.

You will become a core member of our team and will be at the forefront of innovation in the legal AI space, joining client meetings, working with firm-wide adoption, and receiving direct feedback from enterprise clients. You will be able to make an impact on the daily work of professionals in the legal industry by delivering a product that shapes the present and future of the legal practice.

You may be a good fit if you:

- Have 2-3 YoE in a product-focused full-stack software engineering role. - Have a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. - Work with technologies such as React, Node.js, Express, JavaScript, SQL, and MongoDB with experience in database migrations. - Possess experience in building LLM-powered applications, with familiarity in agentic AI tools, LangChain, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, or proprietary web retrieval systems, highly valued. - Have experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms. - Take full ownership of your work and see projects through from initial concept to final deployment. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Nest.js is a plus. - Experience or a strong interest in working at early-stage startups or legal tech is an asset.

While we trust you to manage your time and ship the results, you need to be ready to embrace the dynamic nature of a scaling startup where priorities can shift quickly, deadlines are real, and your contributions directly impact our clients' work. This means being comfortable with ambiguity, taking initiative when you see opportunities for improvement, and putting in extra effort during critical product launches or client implementations. As a founding engineer, you are inspired by the fact that your success and the company’s success are connected.
