Role & Responsibilities
• Build, update, and maintain WordPress websites, including theme customization and plugin integration.
• Collaborate with the tech team to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize websites for performance and usability.
• Ensure website functionality across various devices and browsers for an optimal user experience.
• Assist with implementing SEO best practices to improve search engine visibility.
• Stay updated on the latest WordPress and web development trends, tools, and best practices.
• Support in creating documentation and user guides for clients and internal use.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong passion for web development and familiarity with WordPress, including theme customization and plugin usage.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications (not required, but nice to have) • Experience with PHP and MySQL for WordPress customization.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for website optimization.
• Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
• Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Must-have Skills • Solid understanding of WordPress development and website management.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a keen eye for clean code and website optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve website issues effectively.
• Proactive attitude, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring quality and consistency across all web projects.
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including tech and marketing
