We are glad to have you apply to be a volunteer with us.

40 Days over 40 Smiles Foundation (4040) is a volunteer-based organisation which provides literacy and educational resources to children in underserved communities in order to improve the quality of learning.

4040 Volunteer Program

Applications are open for volunteers looking for a placement at 40 Days over 40 Smiles Foundation.
Positions are available under the following departments:
1. Angaza Outreach Program
2. Communications & Marketing
3. Fundraising & Partnerships
4. Finance & Operations
Angaza Outreach Program If you have taught at Sunday School, are pursuing a course in Education or have experience working with children, this might be the role for you.
The position will require you to prepare lesson plans and facilitate sessions within Community Primary Schools in the Kibuli area for a minimum of 6 Fridays, every term.
Communications & Marketing
If you have handled digital media, social media pages or created content, you will be a good candidate for the communication aspect.
Skills in photography, graphic design, video editing and marketing are an added advantage.
Fundraising & Partnerships Fundraising and Partnerships department candidates with experience in writing proposals, raising funds, event planning and managing partnerships will have an added advantage.
Finance & Operations
For Finance, accounting experience is an advantage.
Apply if you posess skills in petty cash management, financial reporting, budget monitoring, account reconciliations, and financial planning.

Operations applicants should have experience in administration and office management.
It's also important to have organisational and project management skills, great communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership qualities are a plus.
After recruitment, the duration for volunteering with 4040 is one year although one can remain with the organisation for years, as they rise through the ranks.
Please note that this role is strictly voluntary.
