Emerging Technology Topics for ICT Standardisation

In the StandICT.eu Programme (www.standict.eu), we collect insights from European ICT research and innovation projects to understand the emerging technology areas that should be considered for funding on the forthcoming open calls.
In a nutshell, StandICT.eu will launch of series of 9 Open Calls funding European experts engaged in international ICT standardisation across SDOs, WGs and TCs. In total, 3M€ of direct funding will be allocated to 400+ experts between 2023 and 2026.
The eligible Open call ICT priority areas are aligned with the EU Rolling Plan for ICT standardisation covers horizontal (Cybersecurity, Data, 5/6G, IoT etc.) and vertical ICT (AI, Blockchain, eHealth, Industry 4.0 etc.) sectors. Moreover, the list of eligible topics is updated through continuous monitoring and careful analysis of the international ICT standards landscape through liaison with Standards Development Organizations (SDOs), Standards Setting Organisations (SSOs), Multi-Stakeholder Platform (MSP), and StandICT.eu External Advisory Group (EAG) - and with EU research and innovation projects contributing to international ICT standardisation.
