Students Studying Abroad

Are you abroad for the Fall semester?

In order to be a FL Captain, you must be at Boston College for the Spring 2026 semester. 

If you are currently abroad during your Junior Fall semester, you are welcome to apply to be a FL Captain as long as you are back at BC in January. We will conduct your interview over Zoom.

Commitment - please read carefully

The Freshmen League Captain position is a commitment that lasts from mid-October through the end of April. Captains will assist in the following:
- Interviewing & selecting freshmen applicants (Oct/Nov)
- Participating in weekly small-group captain meetings led by alumni coaches (Oct-Nov)
- Leading/planning weekly meetings with your freshmen (Jan-April)
- Organizing a monthly (Jan-April) activity for your team (activities will be based on your schedule)
This includes attending two mandatory retreats:

#1. Captain's Training Retreat: on the weekend of October 24-26, 2025 PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR SENIOR KAIROS or PLAN TO ATTEND THE RED BANDANA RUN IF YOU APPLY TO BE A CAPTAIN.
#2. Freshmen League Overnight: Captains attend one of the retreats on either January 30 - 31st, 2026 (Fri-Sat) or January 31 - February 1st, 2026 (Sat-Sun)

We ask that all candidates schedule their interview as soon as possible after they submit, even if their actual interview day may be further out on the calendar.
