Membership of JCI Sandton is open to those between 18 and 40. Upon filling out an application form and paying the requisite annual membership fee, the applicant will become a member of JCI Sandton (the local organisation), JCI South Africa (the national organisation), and the worldwide JCI organisation.
JCI Sandton is a voluntary organisation, and, as such, there are no firm commitments in terms of the actual time input that members have to contribute.
When joining JCI, members commit to membership for one year and payment
is due in advance for the entire year or on a pro-rata basis for new members.
JCI Sandton offers its members the opportunity to pay the annual membership fee by enrolling in a payment plan and paying it in instalments over three (3) months. As such, members remain liable to pay any outstanding amounts to JCI Sandton regarding their current annual membership subscription.
Membership will be activated upon receipt of the full payment or the first instalment if the payment plan option is chosen.
Should a member wish to cancel their membership part way through a year of membership,
JCI Sandton will not refund part of the membership fee except in exceptional circumstances. The decision as to whether or not a refund will be granted will be made by the National Organisation, whose decision shall be final and binding.
