Job Description: 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and support advanced fabrication processes, with a strong emphasis on robotic metal 3D printing. This role will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving metal manufacturing systems. You’ll work closely with our technical team to ensure the reliability, precision, and efficiency of each build while contributing to process optimization and troubleshooting across both additive and subtractive workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and optimize robotic metal additive manufacturing systems
• Perform post-processing and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Maintain equipment manufacturing processes
• Oversee the safe handling, storage, and use of materials
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and mechanical engineers to improve system performance and workflow integration
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues; perform routine maintenance and support repairs
• Track material usage, document process parameters, and assist with process improvement initiatives
• Maintain inventory of consumables and tools; coordinate ordering and restocking as needed
• Contribute to the design and implementation of jigs, fixtures, or tooling to support manufacturing efficiency and part quality

Essential Physical Demands:

• Perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, and moving between workstations
• Regularly lift and handle materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Use hand tools and equipment (e.g., grinders, sanders, welders) in a production environment
• Engage in tasks requiring bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching in various directions
• Maintain awareness of safety protocols and respond to visual, auditory, and tactile safety signals

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience with additive manufacturing (preferably metal), machining, or fabrication
• Familiarity with robotic systems, welding, and CNC/manual machining tools
• Proficient in reading CAD files and using CAM or slicer software
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with troubleshooting ability
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to collaborate effectively across teams
• Ability to travel occasionally for installations or customer support
Compensation and Benefits:
• $65,000-75,000 annually, based on experience
