Course Registration: ESKC Summer Space Camp Program 2025

🥳Welcome to the 2025 Annual Summer Space Camp Program Registration for ESKC students!

🙌Greetings, Future 🚀Space Scientists!
The Ethiopian Space Science Kids Club (ESKC) under the Space Science and Geospatial Institute (SSGI) is thrilled to announce the launch of its Annual Summer Space Camp Program. This yearly initiative is designed to spark curiosity, nurture scientific minds, and empower students across Ethiopia with practical and theoretical knowledge in space science and geospatial technology.
📝Description about the Program:
The ESKC Summer Camp offers a dynamic blend of classroom learning, hands-on experimentation, and collaborative projects tailored for passionate students between the ages of 16–24 — from high school level to university undergraduates.
This year’s program will involve laboratory experiments prepared by the STEM Power Summer Space Camp team, where students will engage with real-world tools and scientific instruments to reinforce the theoretical concepts they learn.
The program includes:
• Celestial Mechanics
•Aerospace Engineering • Space Application and Aerospace
• Satellite Technology: Designing, constructing, and understanding satellite systems
• Earth Observation and GIS: Data collection and spatial analysis using geographic information systems.
• Coding, Robotics & Python Programming
• Space Science Overview: Historical development and core concepts
• Astronomy & Astrophysics: Celestial observations and phenomena
• Rocketry & Space Missions: Engineering, planning, and executing model space missions.

🏛️Location and Modality:

•Addis Ababa Students: In-person training at SSGI’s Main Office (4-Kilo, below the Science Museum)
•Regional Students (assigned by their respective Science & Tech offices): Online participation via Google Meet every five working day

📌Application Requirements:

As per institutional guidelines, the following criteria must be fulfilled to be considered for participation in this summer program:
1. You must have prior engagement or passion demonstrated through activities related to space science, such as:
•Participation in school or regional space clubs
•Attendance in seminars or training sessions
•Membership in the Ethiopian Space Science Society or ESKC
2. You must possess a foundational understanding of Physics, Mathematics, or Astronomy — a short screening assessment may be conducted.
3. You must upload all your supporting documents in .pdf format only. (You may use smallpdf.com for file conversion.) The documents include:
•A personal CV or Portfolio
•Certificates or proof of your relevant engagements
•A school ID or local ID card with a recent photograph of yourself

•Application Period: June 24 – July 8, 2025
•Official Training Period: July 22 – August 31, 2025
