Freelance Product Manager/Digital producer wanted.

Hello! We are in search of a Product Manager or Digital Producer to collaborate with us on a freelance basis for the upcoming relaunch of PencilBooth, a micro-newsletter service tailored for visual artists.

Yes we know that the idea of a freelance PM might not actually exist, but perhaps you or someone you know is looking for something on the side working on a pretty fun product, this could be your jam! (Note, you can be located anywhere in the world for this!)

Our aim is to produce an experience that meets that aesthetic and functional demands of our discerning audience, which means that a key part of your work will be ensuring that our product designs are translated successfully into code.

We need someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of solid design principals to ensure that our design intentions are effectively conveyed. You should also be capable of identifying and documenting potential improvements or efficiencies based on feedback and user interviews or research.

We’re a very small team, but as our engineers are overseas we need someone to help ensure the right information is getting across to them in the most effective way possible.

Your primary role will involve personally testing the application, identifying and documenting faults and gaps, and suggesting improvements for our current development team to implement. Additionally, you may need to brief our designers on new screens or assets needed for your recommendations. While experience with Rails-based apps is a plus, it is not essential.

This is ideally a short-term gig - we don’t need much - anywhere from 5-10 hours a week for the next month or two to get us to the finish line. Work can be done remotely but we have a great office in Collingwood for anyone in Melbourne if interested.

Please contact us at team@pencilbooth.com with your rates and availability or just pop your details in below!

Thank you!
