MARS 4.0 Mentor Application

MARS, Cambridge AI Safety Hub's research program, is looking for mentors for our next cohort running from December 1st to early-mid February 2025. MARS connects promising researchers with experienced mentors to pursue AI safety projects in both technical and policy domains. As a mentor, you'll guide a small team working on a focused research project of your choosing. We expect most applicants to be current students or early-mid career working professionals.

Applications close October 1st at 23:59 AoE; however, we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis and strongly encourage early applications. We aim to finish the participant applications phase, including the mentor application stage, by October 15th, and final decisions by November 1st. For more information about the program and the program timeline, see the FAQ's on the MARS 4.0 page, or reach out to [email protected] with any questions!

You may also refer researchers whom you think might be a good fit for mentorship at the end of this form, or using our separate Mentor Referral Form.
We are especially interested in hearing about potential mentors in AI Security.

Technical note: This form automatically saves your work as you go. Even if you're not ready to submit, please add your email address - this allows us to send you a reminder before the deadline!
