Somewhat, does a fast dip or inconsistent.

No, no experience or does not like to be on their back in the water.

No, floats with aid and may be close to floating independently.

Unable to swim any distance independently.

Swims a very short distance (3 body lengths or less) before putting their feet down. Swimming is very splashy, uncoordinated, and may look more like a doggy paddle.

Swims 15-20 feet (width of a private pool) with out putting their feet down. Their swim looks fairly coordinated.

Able to swim longer distances with efficient front crawl and/or freestyle only. Does not know any other strokes. 

Able to swim long distances using freestyle, and can also swim strokes like backstroke, breaststroke, and/or butterfly. Could qualify for swim team. 

Do you have another student to fill out the assessment for?
