Studio Assistant / Creative Sidekick

This is a part-time, in-person contractor role based in my studio in Seattle, WA. Flexible scheduling (1–2 days/week to start), with room to grow.

Are you a seasoned quilter who’s nailed the perfect 1/4" seam and loves bringing creative projects to life? I’m looking for a reliable, experienced Studio Assistant to be my right-hand person in my busy sewing studio.

This role is a mix of hands-on sewing, order fulfillment, content creation, and general studio support—a true body double to help keep things running smoothly and creatively.

What you'll be doing

+ Work on sewing projects with accuracy and care (must have a solid 1/4" seam!)
+ Help fulfill online orders and organize studio inventory
+ Prep and assemble kits for quilt patterns or workshops
+ Take photos and videos for social media and marketing
+ Assist with brainstorming and creating content for blog posts
+ Support day-to-day tasks around the studio—every day is a little different

Skills & Experience

Experienced quilter: You’re detail-oriented, have been quilting for 2+ years, and can maintain a consistent 1/4" seam allowance. You’re confident in matching points accurately and have a strong understanding of how to expertly read and follow quilt patterns.
Interested in content creation: You enjoy capturing and styling photos, creating short videos for social media, writing blog posts, and contributing to Pinterest and other marketing materials.
Bonus points if you: Have a keen eye for photography and visual styling, and feel comfortable using Canva or similar design tools to help bring creative ideas to life. Have experience creating tutorial style videos.
