🛡️ RESCUE OLYMPICS MECHANICS
🏆 Objective:
To promote skill excellence, coordination, and
preparedness in disaster response through simulated challenges. Teams compete
for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals
👥 Participants:
• Open to accredited rescue units, LGUs, NGOs, and emergency response teams.
• Each team must consist of 7 members, including at least 1 team leader.
đź“‹ General Rules:
1. All team members must wear proper rescue gear (PPE, IDs, uniform).
2. Use of personal or non-standard equipment is not allowed unless specified.
3. Teams must finish each station/challenge under time limits.
4. Scores will be based on speed, accuracy, teamwork, and safety protocols.
5. Judges' decisions are final.
đź§© Competition Categories (Suggested Events):
1. Basic First Aid & CPR Simulation
– Scenario-based injury response; proper CPR, bleeding control, fracture stabilization.
2. Search and Rescue Relay (SAR)
– Victim extraction from a collapsed structure or confined space.
3. Fireman’s Carry & Obstacle Evac
– Carry a victim dummy through an obstacle course under time pressure.
4. Water Rescue Challenge (if venue allows)
– Demonstrate lifesaving water rescue using floatation and rope throw.
5. Rope Rescue & Knot Tying
– Team must demonstrate basic knots and safely descend or ascend.
6. Disaster Response Quiz Bee (tie-breaker or bonus)
– Questions on disaster preparedness, protocols, ICS, and laws (RA 10121, etc).
