Let’s create something together!

Here's the backstory...
The HSS Mural Project is leading the creation of four captivating outdoor murals on the exterior of the Humanities and Social Science (HSS) Building. These impressive artworks will be placed on the four archways located on two corners at the front of the Humanities building. Each archway offers a generous 200 square feet of wall space to visually and artistically reflect on our learning community's past, present, and future.

To ensure that the artwork truly represents the diverse voices of our campus community and the surrounding communities in which we thrive, we are committed to an inclusive and collaborative process that includes you! We highly value input from the students, staff, and faculty who are part of the HSS community. Your ideas and perspectives will play a crucial role in determining the final artwork and images that will be showcased in each mural.

We are excited to kick off the first phase of this project by partnering with Cynthia Luján, a visual artist working regionally in southern California and a CSULB alumni. Luján's body of work includes murals, paintings, and photographs. Luján's extensive experience in public art, meticulous attention to detail, and understanding of community-engaged design processes make Cynthia the ideal artist/collaborator to initiate phase one of the HSS Mural Project.
The survey should take no more than 7-10 minutes.
