We're building the new economic engine to fuel IRL: a crowdfunding platform for IRL (in-real-life) creators. Think of us as the Patreon or Open Collective for real-life creators, built in an AI-first way. This is the essential plumbing for resources to flow into IRL communities. [Goal] Make it 10x easier to start, fund, and run social clubs. [Traction in 6 months] 100+ SF clubs waitlisted, 200 hrs with 24 clubs, $200K sponsorships [Dream] Power 100K+ IRL social club builders in 10 years —“real life” places to belong. Who We Are Looking For We’re looking for a third co-founder to join us in building this future. If you’re a tech maverick excited to rethink how tech can unlock IRL community, this is for you.

You will start with a hands-on project (contract basis) that will evolve into a cofounder role. As a founding engineer/ tech cofounder, you’ll shape our culture, product, engineering processes, and team. You'll lead tech design and architecture of the platform. You’ll work closely with IRL builders and their social clubs, iterating fast to deliver core features and build a platform they love in an AI first way.

What You’ll Do (Project plan)

Dec 2024 - Jan 2025: Own technical design / architecture (4 weeks) Co-author MVP scope, requirements, technical design and platform architecture. Milestone 1 (Jan 15): Design/requirements doc

Feb-Mar 2025: Build MVP (8 weeks) Build core MVP features (AI-forward) e.g., the club ask page, member joining flows, dues collection, sponsor matching ... Release dogfood to our Spring Cohort Clubs. Milestone 2 (Mar 15): Dogfood release with 5-10 Build IRL Clubs (Spring Cohort)

Apr 2025: Test with 10-20 Spring Cohort Clubs (2-4 weeks) Debug, iterate, improve based on early feedback. Get ready for public launch in May 2025. Milestone 3 (Apr 15): Beta release for all Spring cohort clubs May 2025: Public Release with SF City-level Campaign Public release. Run our first city-wide crowdfunding campaign on the platform with clubs, joiners, sponsors and supporters. Milestone 4: Successful public beta release

Each milestone will be tied to cash and equity payouts. By the end of this process, we want you to become the third full-time partner, building this business alongside us. Who You Are We’re looking for someone mission-driven and excited about building IRL connections. You have full-stack experience, are familiar with modern web frameworks (React, Node.js), payment integrations (Stripe), cloud infra (AWS, GCP) and GenAI integrations. You thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, taking ownership and moving quickly from idea to execution. You’re adaptable, love solving challenges, and are comfortable with ambiguity. - Experience with crowdfunding or IRL platforms (e.g., Kickstarter, Patreon, Open Collective, Partiful, Eventbrite). - Familiarity with legal/financial structures for subscriptions or community funding. - Previous role as a tech co-founder, founding engineer, or early-stage startup team member.
