Use our form to send letters to political prisoners.
Writing letters is one of the best ways you can support the ever-growing number of political prisoners in Russia. Letters help prisoners to maintain hope and resilience in hopeless situations. We created this letter-translating form, as Russian authorities do not allow letters in foreign languages. You can use the form to write a letter to any of the political prisoners listed in our anti-war infographic. We will translate your letter and send it free of charge. We cannot guarantee a reply, neither can we know for sure when the letter will be delivered or if it will be delivered at all - but we will do our best to update you if you input your email. You can also send letters anonymously.

What letters will not be allowed by the prison censors?

- Containing information that may interfere with the establishment of the truth in a criminal case or contribute to commission of a crime.
- Containing state or other secrets protected by law.
- Written in a code. Be aware that emoji and other special characters may be treated as a code by the censor.
- Containing profanity or jargon.
- Containing copies of literary works and/or periodicals.
