95 Collective Responsible Investing Statement

I. Introduction

We, the undersigned faith-based and values-based institutions, family offices, and
individual investors, commit to a responsible investing philosophy grounded in our
shared values and moral principles. Guided by our faith, ethical teachings, and the call
to care for humanity and creation, we unite in our stewardship of financial resources
to serve the common good while ensuring long-term sustainability.
We recognize that the resources entrusted to us are gifts meant to benefit all people
and future generations. Our commitment is to manage these gifts in ways that
advance human dignity, protect creation, and ensure that future generations inherit
both the means and the mission to continue this work.

II. Guidance

Our shared vision for responsible investing is shaped by core faith-based principles,
which call us to:
- Protect human dignity and advance the common good
- Support the vulnerable and underserved
- Uphold rights, responsibilities, and ethical accountability
- Encourage participation, local empowerment, and subsidiarity
- Promote fair work practices and the dignity of labor
- Care for our shared environment and creation
- Practice solidarity across communities and generations.
These principles guide both the moral and practical aspects of our investment decisions. We affirm that financial resources are entrusted to us for service to others, and that investment strategies must reflect this responsibility.

III. Fiduciary Responsibility

Responsible stewardship requires balancing financial performance with moral and ethical responsibility. We a rm the concept of intergenerational solidarity — ensuring that the resources we manage today will have equal or greater impact for the generations that follow.
To guide our decision-making, we utilize a framework inspired by faith-based impact investing principles, mapping investments across two dimensions: Values Alignment and Financial Return:

Legacy High social and spiritual return, market-rate financial return, harmonizing
fiduciary duty with moral and ethical obligations.
Impact Investment (Integrated) – High social and values-based return, below-
market financial return. Typically funded through foundations or donor-advised funds.
Capitalistic – Neutral on values and Market Rate financial return.
Of these, Legacy and Integrated represents the most complete expression of
responsible investing — harmonizing moral responsibility with prudent financial
stewardship. Our network seeks to advance and mature opportunities within this
quadrant.

IV. Responsible Investment Goals

As members of the Faith-Based Responsible Investing Network, we commit to:
- Applying faith-based ethical principles in our investment decisions
- Pursuing market-rate, risk-adjusted returns while ensuring our assets serve as a
force for good
- Giving equal weight to environmental stewardship, human dignity, and the
common good alongside financial performance
- Actively engaging in Faith-Aligned Market Rate, Impact Investment, and Screened
- Investment opportunities — collaborating to identify, develop, and invest in
opportunities aligned with our mission
- Utilizing practical tools such as ethical screening, allocations to social impact and
sustainable investments, proxy voting in alignment with our values, and targeted
impact investments that preserve liquidity
- Investing in education for current and future stewards to ensure ongoing
integration of faith-based principles in financial management
- Measuring and reporting progress toward these goals for accountability and
transparency

V. Collection

Through this shared statement, we commit to fostering a faith-based investing movement that is principled, prudent, and future-focused. We unite in the conviction that the resources entrusted to us must advance our mission, protect creation, and promote the dignity of every person — today and for generations to come.
