Springfield, Missouri Metro; we need to talk. My name is Jonathan, and I founded That GenZ Agency because I was done with the struggle to find meaningful work right here in SGF. It shouldn't be this hard, and frankly, I'm tired of watching our city lose its talent.

This isn't just a Gen Z problem; this is a Springfield problem. Across all ages and industries, we're facing a job market that's broken. Our schools and universities aren't connecting students with real-world opportunities, and we're losing our best and brightest to other cities. (Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago-Land, Kansas City, STL Metro) etc.

I'm done being the only young voice in the room, trying to explain the reality of our situation to those who don't understand.

This survey is your chance to tell your story. Why are employers complaining about talent shortages while job listings remain unfilled? What's really going on? We need answers, and we need them now.

Your voice matters. Your experience matters. Take a few minutes to complete this survey and help us show our leaders the reality of our community. We're also working hard to secure funding for paid focus groups, so you can be compensated for your valuable insights.

I know you might be asking yourself, "What is JB going to do about it?" Well, I'm in the process of developing a partnership nonprofit organizations 501(c)(6) to support the business community, and economic state of SGF. This includes bringing in high-profile companies within the metro area and ensuring they bring jobs, offer salaries well above the current market rate. Additionally, I’m focused on redeveloping infrastructure—building up, not out—while providing real opportunities for students to gain valuable internships. We're also launching the "You're Hired" initiative, which will grant students an automatic job offer under contract as they approach graduation.
