The Environmental Justice Data and Mapping Symposium, set for July 2025 in Houston, Texas, will bring together researchers, regulators, and campaigners working with environmental justice data on a daily basis.
The event will focus on sharing ideas, tools and strategies for consistency and accessibility of environmental justice data and analysis. The theme of the symposium is exploring challenges, restrictions and censorship related to climate and environmental justice data and science under the current federal administration. Participants will share best practices, explore new technologies, and gain exposure to new tools and methods they may not have encountered before. Underlying information sharing will be a focus on how tools and data can support advocacy. Topics can include environmental justice screening tools, the role of drones in monitoring, and other emerging strategies for data-driven advocacy.
Join us for the inaugural Environmental Data and Mapping Symposium to collaborate and share knowledge of environmental justice data and analysis!
