💻 Healthcare IT / EMR Support Specialist Application Form

Responsibilities may include

- Providing technical support for EMR/EHR systems (e.g., troubleshooting, configuration, user assistance)

- Supporting end-users (doctors, nurses, admin staff) with EMR/EHR functionality and workflows
- Installing, configuring, and updating healthcare software and applications
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access within healthcare systems
- Responding to and resolving technical tickets via phone, email, or ticketing platforms
- Assisting with data migration, backups, and system integrations
- Monitoring system performance and reporting issues proactively
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and data privacy standards during all IT activities
- Coordinating with IT teams or vendors for advanced support needs
- Creating and maintaining documentation for system processes and user guides

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Information Management, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
- At least 1 year of IT support, helpdesk, or technical support experience (healthcare IT experience preferred)
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Medisoft, etc.) preferred but not required
- Knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira, ServiceNow)
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and security best practices
- Proficiency in software installation, configuration, and updates
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a technical support environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (able to explain technical concepts clearly)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup and collaborate with client teams
