Submit a Letter - The Held Space Library

Thank You For Considering a Contribution:

This project lives within The Serein Collective—a woman-led wellness brand creating tools for reflection, restoration, and ritual.

The Held Space Library invites healing professionals to write letters from the tender, complex, and often unspoken edges of caregiving. You may write anonymously or with your name. Your words do not need to be tidy—only true.

Writing Guidance:

There is no "right way" to write a letter for The Held Space Library. What matters most is authenticity, care, and emotional integrity.
Your letter can be poetic, conversational, grounded, or spacious. You can write in second person ("You stayed..."), the first person ("I carry..."), or directly to a version of yourself or another clinician.

A Few Gentle Suggestions:

-Let the letter be personal, but do not include any client identifying details
-Feel free to name the emotional reality of the work -- but without language that promotes harm or perpetuates bias
-Your voice matters. Let it sound like you --raw, reverent, angry, exhausted, grateful, or all of the above.

Let this be a place where you are not the one holding. Let this be your moment to be held.

Access & Cost:

The Held Space Library is—and will remain—a freely accessible online archive for healing professionals.

There is no paywall, no subscription, and no expectation of performance. Your words are a gift, not a transaction.

In the future, select letters be included in a printed version of the archive (such as a zine or journal). This would be a thoughtfully curated and low-cost printed resource for clinicians—not a commercial product.

If that opportunity arises, we will contact you for explicit permission to include your letter.

Note on Integrity:

Letters that include client-identifying information, promote harm, or contain discriminatory content will not be published. This space is curated gently, with care for both the reader and the writer.

This is a space for collective witnessing, not harm. We reserve the right to gently decline submissions that do not align with the ethos of care that guides The Held Space.

I understand that my letter may be considered for inclusion in a future printed version of The Held Space Library (such as a zine or journal), and I give permission to be contacted if that opportunity arises.
