INSPIRE Mentorship Programme

Participant Application Form

Plastic Surgery is renowned for its selective and competitive training, with many of those succeeding benefiting from an often-unspoken hidden curriculum that shapes their career trajectory. The INSPIRE initiative stands for INcluSivity in Plastic Surgery: Insights, Recommendations, & Education and our mission is to pave the way for all medical students and trainees, irrespective of socio-economic, gender, or racial backgrounds, championing them towards a promising and fulfilling career in Plastic Surgery.

The Mentorship Programme encapsulates the 'Education' core of INSPIRE, offering bespoke career development opportunities for those intrigued by Plastic Surgery but who may have felt discouraged by certain barriers or misconceptions. With the support of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, we seek to foster a vibrant community centered around Plastic Surgery. Our aim is to unite members through their shared enthusiasm for the field, providing opportunities for networking, inspiration, and growth.

Eligibility

We welcome applications from Medical students enrolled in UK institutions, currently in their Clinical years (Years 3-6 or equivalent for Graduate Entry programmes). Successful completion of the programme is contingent on a minimum commitment of 75% attendance.
