Shout-outs are an informal public acknowledgement of someone or something, usually by name or occupation. They can recognize someone in appreciation of them or something they did; however, a shout-out could also be used to submit a birthday or anniversary announcement, promote a local business, etc. Your shout-out will be anonymous.
Shout-out appear in a dedicated content block. They are a maximum of 30 words. Only three are published each week. Links to not typically appear in a shout-out, but one can be included for an additional fee.
The cost is $10 per shout-out, $5 to add a link.
Island Edition costs over $3,000 a year to operate (that's without me earning a penny). I need to develop products and services to help cover costs, and possibly one day pay myself a few bucks for the time I put into this project.
