Indirect lead tracking

This is a small scale research to find out whether our proposed solution could be worth developing to help partnership teams to track leads that were indirectly generated by our partners.
An indirect lead is a lead that does not click on a link to go to your website. Instead, they'll go to Google.com type in your brand name, and convert on your website, instead of on your partners' website.
We have a solution in mind that can capture these leads and proof that it was generated by a partner and should not belong in the 'organic' or 'paid' search bucket for the direct sales department.
