Expedition for Women in Renewable Energy

Women Emerging (WE) is a global movement which over the past three years has connected thousands of women across the world via an online community. In 2022, a diverse group of 24 women from across the community embarked on an expedition to find ‘an approach to leadership that would resonate with women.’ Rather than develop ‘an’ approach, they created a ‘map’, an outline for women across the world to embark on their own expeditions.

Ensuring a successful global transition to renewable energy involves addressing key challenges for women in leadership roles. This includes overcoming gender disparities in the industry, promoting greater participation of women, and advocating for inclusive policies that consider economic inequalities and regional energy needs.

The 7 month long expedition will require you to commit to attending one zoom call per month (2.5 hours), plus ‘exploring’ individually through conversations, reflective exercises and guided questions for a minimum of 2 hours per month.
