Call for Applications: Transitional Justice Training Course (3 Days)

Organized by: Regional Center for Sustainable Development (RCSD) & Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR) Dates: 16–18 December 2024 Location: Regional Center for Sustainable Development, Chiang Mai University, Thailand

The Regional Center for Sustainable Development (RCSD), in collaboration with Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR), is pleased to announce the , which will be held from 16 to 18 December 2024 at the RCSD, Chiang Mai University.

This three-day intensive training program aims to increase the capacity and proficiency of community leaders, legal professionals, civil society members, and human rights activists who work on transitional justice issues. Participants will gain knowledge of post-conflict justice and accountability systems, with an emphasis on

• Understanding transitional justice concepts and frameworks
• Truth-seeking, reparations, and institutional reform processes
• Promoting accountability and addressing impunity
• Victim-centered approaches to justice and reconciliation
• Practical tools and strategies for advocacy and implementation

The program will include interactive sessions with leading experts in the field, case studies from the Asia-Pacific region, and group exercises designed to foster collaboration and peer learning.

Who Should Apply:

Anyone actively engaged in human rights activism or transitional justice projects is eligible for this program. Participants who have:

Applications from underrepresented groups, such as women, young people, and those from areas affected by conflict, are highly encouraged.

Application Process:

Interested applicants are invited to submit the following documents:

1. A completed application form.
2. A personal statement (max. 500 words) outlining your interest in transitional justice and how this training will contribute to your work
3. A brief CV or resume
