We're looking for a Project Manager!

Based out of Alserkal Avenue in Dubai since 2010, we are a community organization that hosts the internationally renowned GPP Photo Week, cultivates visual practices through year-round workshops, art programs, exhibitions, community events, state-of-the-art printing services and specialized resources for photographers. We pride ourselves on designing roles around individuals' skills and strengths, investing in people first — and particularly for this role, we're flexible around working hours and are primarily deliverables-based versus hours-based. Our team is diverse, but we share a drive to elevate the public's critical interaction with an image-centric world. Job Description

We’re looking to hire a Project Manager that has previously worked in the Arts/Culture sector regionally, and shares the same mission statement as Gulf Photo Plus: to promote regional photography to the widest audience possible through sponsored activations, workshops, exhibitions, events, photo walks, and more.
This Project Manager acquires and maintains relationships with corporate, semi-government, non-government, and government entities, then working alongside our team to consult, ideate, communicate, and execute the brand’s vision to the highest possible standard while ensuring profitability for Gulf Photo Plus — and as such, this person needs to be an experienced negotiator.
This candidate works by looking for specific measures of success, always intending to improve the quality of these activations and projects, seeking active cohesion between the governmental sector, the private sector, and the artists. The work poses learning challenges in diverse areas such as the administration of economic resources, training, and artistic communication.
The person who is dedicated to this work is characterized by having abilities to visualize and interpret talent, knowing how to establish a dialogue with artists to link them to cultural projects to develop.
Previous team members in this role have worked with and acquired business from brands like Cadillac, Hermés, Canon, Fujifilm, Sony, Nikon, Toyota, the Ministry of Culture, EXPO2020, Volkswagen, and many, many more.

This candidate, must have proficiency with:
- A camera :)
- Written and spoken public communication
- Google Slides for pitch decks
- GSheets/Excel for budgeting
- Arabic and English fluency (regional or MSA)
- Proofreading and editing - Project management tools
This candidate must be experienced in:
- B2B project acquisition and project management - The regional arts & culture scene - Creating strong, engaging projects from ideation to execution handoff
The ideal candidate also:
- Has strong listening and communication skills - Can work independently and collaboratively - Has experience liaising with the press or a PR agency - Has excellent research, organizational, and time management skills - Has a Bachelor's in Project or Business Management, English, the Arts, or a similar field - Demonstrates proficiency with some of the following: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro/Final Cut
