On this page, we invite you to submit what we call "
signals."
Signals are specific, concrete, and observable events or phenomena happening in Nigeria that suggest emerging trends. For example:

Rapid adoption of Nigerian fintech apps by the population”
- “
An increasing number of tech training programs organized by religious organizations”
For each signal, please provide the following:
Title: Name of the signal
What: A brief description of the specific event or phenomenon.
Where & When: The location and time context.
Who: The people or stakeholders involved.
Why significant: Why this event or phenomenon is intriguing or potentially important for the future.
For example:
Rapid Adoption of Nigerian Fintech Startups
What: Rapid growth and adoption of fintech apps such as Cowrywise, Paystack, and Flutterwave.
Where & When: Nigeria, from 2017 to present, with significant growth observed since 2020.
Who: Nigerian entrepreneurs, domestic users, enterprises, international investors, and fintech companies.
Why significant: Demonstrates fintech as foundational infrastructure enabling broader digital economy growth.
