AND ENCOUNTER
What does “Never again” mean to us today?
What traces has Holocaust education left within us — and how are they carried by those with completely different historical and geographical backgrounds?
How might resistance to fascism, authoritarianism, and antisemitism take shape across these perspectives?
In times of political upheaval, rising extremism, and devastating wars, we feel the urgent need to seek new forms of creative dialogue with the unknown. To deepen cultural understanding-To create spaces for physical and emotional experiencing—spaces for reflection on both personal and collective histories.
This workshop is not a re-enactment, nor a finished role-play. Instead, it is an experiment in developing a LARP. Together, participants will explore whether embodied practices — sound, movement, and presence — can create new forms of dialogue where words often fall short. Participants immerse themselves in roles without scripts, using improvised sound, physical action, and spatial awareness to connect with others in profound ways. The final session is a space to share feelings and observations from the non-verbal work — without arguments or intellectual debate.
We care to create place the highest value on creating a respectful, safe, and sensitive environment, with guidance of guided with care and mindfulness by the facilitators.
This workshop is for anyone willing to explore history, empathy, and human connection beyond words. You don’t need acting experience or prior knowledge of the topics — only curiosity and openness.
A diverse group makes the work more powerful: students and educators, artists and non-artists, people with personal ties to the Holocaust or none at all, locals and newcomers to Europe.
Each perspective brings a unique thread to the shared experience.
We are fully aware of the sensitivity of this theme. That is why the process — listening, testing, and including multiple voices — is as important as any outcome. It may not succeed, and we approach this uncertainty with care and humility.
