Science Fair 2025

Rules and Regulations

1. Students may submit projects as a group or as an individual.
2. A group can have up to a maximum of three members.
3. A student is not allowed to register for more than one project at a time.
4. One group may submit and prepare ONLY ONE project. Submission of more than one project is NOT ALLOWED.
5. Students are NOT allowed to switch groups once they have registered. However, a student may drop out of a project if he/she does not wish to participate in the science fair anymore.
6. A group might be asked to change their project if it violates the safety codes.
7. Students are not allowed to use unfair means of any kind to gain advantage over other
participants. This includes deliberately harming other participants or other projects. Such students will be disqualified immediately and will not be allowed to take part in the next year's science fair as well.
8. Participants with projects having special requirements such as electricity sockets should notify the volunteers of MLIS Science Club.
9. The school authority and the organizers of the Science Fair 2025 hold the right to disqualify participants/teams at any stage of the competition if the participants are found to disobey the rules and regulations.

Rules Regarding Safety

1. Inflammable and dangerous substances/chemicals are prohibited.
2. Use of Open flames In projects are prohibited
3. If access to electricity point or socket is needed, it must be mentioned In the project
proposal and must also be informed to the volunteers on the project setup day.
4. High Voltage (more than 12V) electronics will not be permitted In the science fair.
3. If chemicals are involved in the project, the science teacher must do a safety check and report it to the school authority. Along with that, a senior science teacher must be present to supervise the project (without helping them directly on the day of the science fair) to prevent any hazardous reaction.
6. Use of strong acid or alkali in projects are not allowed.
7. Delicate Items such as glass should be handled carefully.
8. Any substance that may cause injury should be handled carefully to avoid injuries.
