The Problem with Indie Film Fundraising

🎨🎬 Calling All Filmmakers  đźŽ¬đźŽ¨

Hey there!

We’re building something â€”and we want your voice to help shape it.

As a fellow indie filmmaker, I’ve felt the same struggle many of us face: it’s way too hard to get funding for any of our projects. Crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter offer a band-aid solution and we have to remain scrappy to get the money we need to realize our dreams. These sites require that we reach 80-100% of our funding or we get nothing. It requires us to take our focus away from the creative process.

That’s why my team and I are working on a new fundraising model, one that is based off milestones, where filmmakers can provide security to backers, guarantee initial funding for projects, and make cool stuff happen.

But before we build it, we need your insight. Whether you’ve worked on a dozen projects or are just getting started, your answers will help shape a platform made by indie filmmakers, for indie filmmakers.

✨ Take a moment to fill this out. It’s short, and it would open up doors for indie filmmakers. Thanks so much! 🙌
