Unions Bridal Boutique is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dressmaker / Seamstress to support our growing team. The ideal candidate is creative, reliable, and experienced in altering complex garments with care and precision. This role involves working closely with bridalwear and requires both technical ability and aesthetic sensitivity.
• Perform precise alterations on bridal gowns and other complex garments
• Design and construct simple garments such as robes or accessories as needed
• Collaborate with the boutique team to ensure client fittings and timelines are met
• Advise customers on possible alterations and garment care when required
• Apply creativity and initiative to solve garment challenges and meet custom requests
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and handle garments with utmost care
• Proven experience in garment alterations, especially formal wear or bridal
• Ability to construct simple pieces from scratch (e.g., robes)
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving ability
• Must be flexible with scheduling (weekends and some weekdays required)
• Basic proficiency in math and English (for measurements, communication, and documentation)
• Self-motivated with strong initiative—able to work independently or alongside a team
