October 26, 2025 Volunteer Mitzvah Day at New Camden Cemetery: Registration, Liability Waiver and Release Form

Thank you for your interest in joining dozens of volunteers from 11 AM to 1 PM on October 26 to refurbish the Jewish sections of the New Camden Cemetery. For any questions about the day, please contact JCF Assistant Director Mike Staff at 856-673-2528 or [email protected].

1. Participant Information: You must be 18 or older to complete this form. If you are a parent/guardian signing for a teen volunteer, please enter your teen's information here and add your information at bottom.

Please note that depending on volunteer turnout and work needed, we ask that volunteers be as flexible as possible with the tasks that they complete.

Included in the options below are recommended items that we request you bring if participating in this activity.

Raking leaves: Work gloves, rake, tarp

Picking up debris and trash: Work gloves, trash picker or other tool(s) to grab items from the ground

Cutting back shrubs/vines that are overgrown or need to be removed: Work gloves, pruners, shears, handsaw, and/or other equipment to cut the plants back

Repairing chain link gate and fence: Please email Mike Staff at [email protected] if this is an area where you are experienced, to determine what may be needed

Photographing and uploading gravestone information to our database: Cell phone, notepad, and pen

Cleaning off headstones that have moss or other debris on them: Work gloves, gentle scrub brush, spray bottle with water and dish detergent solution (no running water is available on premises)

Sharing your expertise with stories about some of those who were buried in the cemetery (We hope you will be amenable to a video recording of your expertise!)

Sharing your expertise on explaining the meaning of various symbols, English and Hebrew wording, or sculptures depicted on some of the gravestones (We hope you will be amenable to a video recording of your expertise!)

Interviewing/recording expert speakers (noted in the two options above) so we can then share the videos with the community. If you have skills in social media video creation, that is a bonus!: Cell phone, notepad, and pen
