Help Me Build a Free, Simple Alternative to Moodle

Hello, my name is Mathieu, a former developer, now a teacher for the past five years. I’m starting an open project to build a free, simple, and teacher-friendly alternative to Moodle.

Where I am Today

I’m launching the beta! Here’s what’s already working, notably:

Interactive Course Creation — embedding YouTube videos, Google Slides, CodePen demos, sharing rich links, and allowing students to upload files.

Student Management — admin tools like password resets and course sharing via link or code.

Progress Tracking — seeing which courses students have viewed and how much time they spent on each.

Grade Monitoring — tracking quiz results and manually correcting short answers.

Data Security — full encryption of student data to protect privacy.
