ABOUT
The Head of Content Strategy will lead the creative direction and execution of all content across audio, video, and editorial platforms. This senior leadership role will oversee cross-functional creative teams, lead editorial direction, and play a central role in content development – generating new show ideas, shaping programming strategy, and identifying emerging talent. This leader will work closely with senior executives to align content initiatives with company goals, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand voice across all channels. This is a visionary and hands-on role for someone passionate about storytelling, obsessed with quality, and driven to shape the future of Audiochuck’s content portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Oversee all content production across podcasting, YouTube/digital video, and editorial platforms, ensuring consistent quality, tone, and brand alignment
– Partner with production and editorial leaders to ensure content aligns with strategy and quality benchmarks.
– Develop and drive content strategy to support audience growth, engagement, and retention across all channels
– Generate and greenlight new content ideas, including podcast series, video concepts, and editorial features and evaluate the most effective content format and distribution channel – such as film, TV, audio, or digital video – based on narrative strength and strategic fit
– Identify, recruit, and nurture on-air talent, creators, and contributors that align with the brand’s voice and mission
– Collaborate with marketing, business development, and analytics teams to align content with broader company goals
– Establish and oversee production calendars, workflows, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency
– Monitor industry trends, audience behavior, and platform innovations to inform content decisions and maintain competitive edge
– Represent the content function in executive leadership discussions and contribute to overall company strategy
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
– 8+ years of experience in content leadership roles, ideally within podcasting, digital media, television, or publishing
– Proven track record of developing and scaling successful content across audio, video, and/or editorial formats
– Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional creative and production teams
– Deep understanding of audience development, content marketing, and platform dynamics (e.g., YouTube, podcast networks, social media)
– Demonstrated success in identifying, onboarding, and developing on-air or on-camera talent
– Excellent editorial judgment, storytelling instincts, and attention to detail
– Ability to balance creative vision with business priorities, timelines, and budgets
– Experience building and managing production pipelines, calendars, and editorial workflows
– Strong communication and collaboration skills with a history of working cross-functionally with executives, marketers, and data teams
– Passion for storytelling, innovation in content, and the evolving media landscape
